Pricing and Packages

 

At PHRA we understand that people in need of family history research services have different requirements. Whether you’re on a budget, or not sure yet what kind of genealogical research you need we’re here to help.

Before you book one of the genealogy research packages on this page, please use the Contact us page to tell us about your research needs. After we have reviewed your family history project we will give you an estimate of the hours required to help you choose the right product for your genealogy research needs.


Hourly


Our hourly rate is $45.00. There is a two-hour minimum.


Who should choose the hourly rate:

  • Individuals needing a quick overview of their existing research and a bit of guidance toward additional resources.
  • Individuals who are just starting out and need help in getting started. We’ll let you know where to start looking and provide you with a list of resources.
  • Other clients who would like to discuss their heritage research project before committing to a larger research package.

We offer the following packages to assist  you with your research:

5-Hour Research Block

Price: $210.00 (5% savings on our regular rate!)

This package is for:

  • Anyone who would like a detailed listing of genealogy resources to consult. We will provide you with a list of historical documents/resources you can use and tell you where to find them and why they are appropriate. We will also offer suggestions on how to best utilize your time and where to focus your efforts.
  • Anyone who wants a quick pedigree for one side of the family.
  • Anyone who would like a review of the family history research they have already completed. We will thoroughly review your existing research and advise you of any gaps, errors or inconsistencies in your genealogical research.

10-Hour Research Block

Price: $405.00 (10% savings on our regular rate!)

This package is for:

  • Anyone who would like a quick pedigree for both sides of their family. We will look at the family lineage of both your parents and provide detailed information about all ancestors dating back at least four generations beyond your grandparent (where such information is available).
  • Anyone with a specific family history research goal in mind. This could be trying to locate a single ancestor, trying to locate an emigration point, or any other detailed and focused genealogical or historical research that is required.

20-Hour Research Block


Price: $790.00 (12% savings on our regular rate!)

This package is for:

  • Anyone who has reached a serious brick wall in their genealogical research and needs a very focused block of research time.
  • Anyone who thinks that 20 hours of professional historical or genealogical research would be of great benefit in uncovering further facts about their ancestry.
  • Anyone who has done extensive research and collected family history information, but isn’t sure what to do with it or how to interpret it. We’ll review all of your genealogical research, collate it, and complete a final report of our findings about your ancestors.
